Today, January 20th, 2012, a tragedy happened to Morse High School. This guy, Hopeton Bennett, had passed away. Unfortunately, he was shot. News spread around the school quickly. Now I didn’t really know Hope. He was in my Spanish class last year, 1st period. Going off of what people have told me about him, his story, and his background, I could tell he was a very sweet, funny, and humble guy. I’m sure many Morse Tigers can tell you all about him, and based off of how many people were affected by his loss today, he will be dearly missed. It’s tragic how fast life can just… be gone. Hope’s loss gives us all who remain lots of things to think about. Lots of appreciation to be doing. We now know that life is very unpredictable. Cherish your life and everyone else’s around you. You never know when they’ll leave. Like Hopeton. Rest in Peace, dear brother. We will not forget you and will keep you in our hearts forever. You’re in a better place now, with God by your side. <3

I used to ball with this guy back in my freshman year with the homies. This is sad, he was such a chill guy. RIP Hope Reds

Even though I didn’t know the felluh, this is so sad.. A life can be taken so easily. R.I.P ! 

No wonder his name rang a bell when I heard about what happened. I had PE with him during sophomore year. It’s unbelievable to think you can lose anyone at any moment. May he rest in peace.
